Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to score a 10 for a competition at the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics coach who became Comaneci's coach later in life she discovered her when she was six. The first time she competed at the national junior championships in 1969 and finished 13th. She won the competition in 1970. Three gold medals were awarded in her first competition at a junior Olympic meet in 1972 for the communist bloc nations. The following year, 1973 as well as 1974 she won the junior champion in all-round competitions. When she competed for the first time in senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva from Russia took home five gold medals, as well being awarded a silver. In 1976 she became the world's first woman who used a double backwards salto for a dismount off the parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens Carol Wayne started working in the entertainment industry performing as figure skater. With her younger sister Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on the 6th of September 1942 on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her journey into the entertainment industry during her teenage years. She began her professional career by performing figure skating alongside Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment show Ice Capades. Ice Capades showcased performances of skaters ice skating performed by actors.
