April Lockhart
April Lockhart (born July 4, 1995) started her journey in music at the age of 7 when she took guitar and piano lessons. When she was 12 years old, April came up with her first original song Different. At the age of 14 years old, April was spending a lot of time writing and honed her music ability. Soon after she began taking excursions to write with her father, who lived in NY and LA. The month also saw her include different topics related to some of her friends dealing in the area of peer pressure disabilities and even teenage suicide as depicted in the song"Take" my Hand. Lockhart, a popular lifestyle blogger and working in partnerships with brands that are clean and healthy like Ilia, has built her own audience. Since she was born without a left hand, she is a major part of her. It's however not the entire tale. Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't cover up her disability, but it does not focus solely on her disability. The profile is a statement. This is the message that we all share numerous identities. We're much more complex than we think that we're. It's not my intention to let that define me I don't wish to become a disability influencer in which I only talk about because there are many different things about my life. Lockhart states in video form from her home in Nashville. The issue doesn't affect my everyday routine. I conduct doing my job as normal and have come up with my own ways to adapt. But, I consider it a very important component of my life. Lockhart, a real inspiration for self-acceptance in general and is currently on a lengthy process to attain this. Still, she admits that she went through phases in her life with her physique, feeling uneasy in some instances to wear clothing that displayed the arms of her. It's her choice to wear what she'd like, and is proud to share photos of herself wearing these clothes. Self-love for her was a long trip. This is true for everyone, regardless of their insecurity. The people you surround yourself with who truly know you, and can see inside your soul are the best people to remind you of what you're worried about.
